Has anybody else found that no merchants ever bring livestock or even have them available to order?

I found that if you save right before the boat reaches the dock, you can load the save and the merchant will have new things to trade each time you reload. I was lucky enough to get sheep on my second try.

He had a pitifully small amount of useless stone before I reloaded. I have only tried this once, because im at work now, so if someone else wants to try this method to confirm. It needs to be a livestock merchant for you to order.

I eventually got one that brougt chickens. So they do come. How long did it take you?

I'm on year 29 and have had a trading post for about 25 of those years. Can't remember when I got mine exactly but I am fairly sure it was around year 15 at the most.
