The Urbino butt pad absorbed recoil better than either the Speedfeed or the factory Benelli, and I thought the Speedfeed was pretty good at absorbing recoil. The only possible negative I've found is that the back of the pistol grip is more flat than rounded, and takes some getting used to.

I've never installed one on a Mossberg, but on both the and the Benelli they went right on. There were a couple of parts that had to be installed the right direction, but if you screw up just back up a couple of steps and put them on correctly.

John W in SC Edited to add: Both the and the Benelli have the safety behind the trigger guard, where it is easy to reach while holding the pistol grip. The Mossberg has the safety on the tang, which may create a problem for you to reach it from a firing grip. I am new to shotguns. I am looking for a retractable stock, sort of like the one available for the Mossberg and others, or a shorter one, but have not found any.

A standard is listed as 14" LoP.
